On the southern boundary of Oundle, nestling in the Nene Valley water meadows, Barnwell Country Park offers waterside walks, picnic meadows, BBQ area, wildlife garden, fishing, bird hides, nature trails, wildlife garden and an adventure playground.

The park is a mosaic of lakes, ponds and meadows in a loop of the river Nene and is a haven for wildlife including otters, heron, kingfishers, grebes, swans, geese, ducks and other wildlife.  An ideal place for picnics, a leisurely stroll or a family day out.
