Cllr Tony Robinson
Oundle Town Council
Date Joined - April 2018
My wife and I have lived in St Christophers Drive since moving to the area from Solihull in 1997. We have three children, who now live in Edinburgh, Nice and Dubai, they were all educated at Oundle School. We have two grandchildren in Edinburgh. We came to Oundle firstly for the school, but only accepted the school because we liked the small quiet town with a safe walk to school, which had most of the facilities that we needed, and a 20 minute traffic free drive to work in Peterborough.
Through my attendance at the recent consultation sessions on the Neighbourhood Plan I became aware that not all councillor places had been taken up. I see that getting a Neighbourhood Plan agreed is an important step in protecting our town and am happy to help in anyway possible, joining the town council is just one way I may be able to help. I am also willing to help share the work load of the council in any other way that I am able to contribute.
I'm a retired chartered engineer (MSc and MBA). I spent most of my working life on Diesel engine design and marketing, living and working in the UK and Brazil with far too much international travel. Now for fun my occupations includes:- mentoring MBA graduates; being a visitor guide at Duxford air museum, and a Council member of the Institution of Plant Engineers; and playing with my 1915 Model T Ford.
