Serving the people of Oundle

'More History In The Making As The Commonwealth Flies High

More than 850 Commonwealth Flags will be raised in locations throughout the United Kingdom, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, UK Overseas Territories, and Commonwealth Countries on Monday 14 March - Commonwealth Day 2016 at 10am.

His Excellency Kamalesh Sharma, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth said 'Flying a Flag for the Commonwealth is a most imaginative way for people in local communities - wherever they live, learn or work - to join together with others throughout the commonwealth in a spirit of respect and understanding to celebrate the variety and unmatched diversity of our global family. I welcome and commend it'

Heads of State, Prime Ministers, Lord Mayors and Mayors, School Children, College Students and many others will be raising the flag around the globe, so come along and join us at 10am on Monday 14 March at Fletton House Car Park, where Cllr Chesser will read a personal message from His Excellency and the Affirmation to share this celebration of an amazing family of nations on behalf of Oundle Town Council.
