Yellow Warning of Rain for Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire
Yellow warning of rain (LOW likelihood of MEDIUM impacts), issued yesterday continues to be valid for western parts of Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire until 12:00 Friday 20th December 2019.
Today: Outbreaks of rain will continue into the evening with the wettest parts most likely in the west of Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire. Through the evening the main area of rain will head off northwards to leave most parts with a brief drier interlude before further rain is expected in southern parts later in the night.
Tomorrow morning will be wet across the East Midlands, affecting Lincolnshire, then steadily moving from south to north becoming lighter leading to a much drier afternoon with a milder feel to the day.
Saturday will be mild with the breeze blowing from a southwesterly point. Lots of cloud and only the odd light shower from time to time mainly across Northamptonshire on Saturday night.
Sunday looks to be a brighter day with little if no breeze. It should be a dry day with thicker cloud across northern parts of Derbyshire which may lead to the odd spot of rain.
Monday cold and breezy as the wind picks up temporarily from a northwesterly direction.
Tuesday less chilly and potentially dry weather after some showery overnight rain which may turn wintry across the higher ground of the Peak District where an isolated shower falling as snow is possible on windward facing slopes across the Peak District on Tuesday.
After an overnight frost on Christmas Eve in rural areas, Christmas Day and Boxing Day currently look set to be relatively mild, possibly with some early fog patches.
