LAST CHANCE TO VOICE YOUR OPINION ON ST CHRISTOPHER'S DRIVE PLANNING APPLICATION

LAST CHANCE TO VOICE YOUR OPINION ON ST CHRISTOPHER'S DRIVE PLANNING APPLICATION

Wednesday 24 June at 6.30 pm is the last chance to stop building on the field at the back of St Christopher's Drive.

Last December the Oundle Neighbourhood Plan was rejected (it proposed good development sites but not this one)

In January East Northamptonshire Council voted to accept instead their 'Local Plan'with this site included. That is now the blueprint for building in Oundle.

* Persimmon Homes, the developer, have now put in an OUTLINE PLANNING APPLICATION for 65 houses and a 65 apartment Extra Care Facility on the site.

*If passed on 24 June by ENC, then it is part of the Local Plan for development and cannot be overturned.

Oundle Town Council objects to this application on the grounds of unsafe accessibility, a large 4 Storey Building in middle of a residential area, excessive noise and air pollution and surface drainage and foul water dispersal problems plus other issues. We believe there are far better alternative sites in the town without these constraints. Find out more here.

The meeting will be a virtual meeting using Microsoft Teams and you can listen in and hear the arguments against this site and ENC's response.

To do this on 24 June just before 6.30 pm go to the East Northamptonshire Council website homepage and click on the button Council Committee Meetings. Then click on the button Access Meeting and follow the instructions. You will be able to hear the meeting live. You do not have to have Microsoft Teams as you simply use the web page application.

You will not be able to speak but should you want to you can pre-register by ringing ENC Democratic Services on 01832 742198 and you will, if still available, be given a three minute slot to voice your opinion.

On the day of the meeting you will be sent instructions on how to join the meeting when it is your turn to speak. You will not be able to speak at any other time.
