Message from the Met Office - Hot weather expected this week
This week will be very warm and dry across the East Midlands with maximum temperatures rising a little higher each day.
The hottest day is most likely on Thursday with temperatures climbing to around 30 Celsius widely across the East Midlands though refreshingly cooler at the coast with a very muggy night in between.
However, this current spell of high temperatures comes to an end on Friday when thundery showers will develop, heralding the return to cooler conditions as our weather arrives from the west for the weekend.
