Oundle School and Laxton Junior School Update
Happy New Year to you all. As the dust begins to settle on the recent school closures announcement, we wanted to give you a short update from Oundle School and Laxton Junior School. In line with schools nationwide, we have moved to remote learning for all but vulnerable children and those of critical workers. For these few children, including a small number of overseas boarders already in the UK when the decision was made to close schools, we are providing in-School supervision and therefore you may still see some limited movement of pupils and staff around the School sites. There will be no pupil movement round town. There will also still be essential building and maintenance works taking place during the lockdown as part of essential upkeep and maintenance of the estate. This will, of course, all be carried out in line with Government guidance. Oundle School Sports Centre sadly remains closed to the public, as per the national lockdown restriction.
Our full Covid-19 frameworks are available on the home pages of our websites (Oundle's will be updated on Friday), should anyone wish for more information. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at info@oundleschool.org.uk should you have any concerns or information that you wish to pass on. We very much look forward to being able to welcome our pupils and staff back in due course, but in the meantime, we wish everyone in Oundle well as we all come to terms with the new lockdown and the continuing impact of the pandemic.
Kind regards,
Rachel Makhzangi, Director of Communications at Oundle School.
