VE Day Celebration 8 May 2025

Join the Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire, the Royal British Legion, the choir of Oundle Primary School and musicians from Oundle School outside the main entrance of St Peters Church from 1440-1510 on Thursday May 8th to simply commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day in Oundle. Pealing bells will depend on nesting peregrine falcons unfortunately! Space will likely be limited to the Eastern and Southern pathways of the churchyard.

As people prepared to celebrate victory in Europe, much was in short supply but people 'made do'. In the spirit of the time you can make your own VE day party hat made out of recyclable materials.
