Oundle Town Council Backs Safer Shopping

Oundle is set to become an even better place to shop. With Oundle Town Council's financial support, the Northamptonshire Business Crime Partnership scheme is being rolled out across the town, with major retailers including the Co-op, Waitrose, Tesco, Boots, and Gorilla Firm Cycling alongside local independents like Amps, Colemans, and Oundle Pharmacy/Post Office on board. The scheme opens up a real-time communication network with police, helping to deter anti-social behaviour, improve incident reporting, and give everyone greater confidence when visiting the town. Local shopkeepers and the Oundle Business Association are fully supportive, calling it a "powerful tool" that benefits the whole community while strengthening the town's retail reputation.
