Section 106 money is funding that is provided by developers to mitigate any problems that new development may cause.The Council has received S106 funding in the past for outdoor and indoor youth and adult activities.
We are currently using S106 funding to add a cycleway in Oundle; replacing the boardwalk on Snipe Meadow; and towards a bid for Fletton Field.

Oundle Gets Trampled
What's just happened?
On Monday 20th January, East Northants Council Planning Policy Committee gave the go ahead to add three housing sites in Oundle to its Local Plan.
Whilst this doesn't sound very exciting, the ramifications for Oundle are enormous.

Northamptonshire County Council's Draft Budget 2020/21
Northamptonshire County Council is now consulting on its draft Budget for 2020/21. The draft budget agreed by Cabinet on 12th November 2019 is likely to be the County Council's final budget and lays the foundations for the transition to two new unitary authorities from April 2021. This draft budget continues the work of last year to stabilise the County Council's finances.

Wet Weather Update
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning today for parts of East Midlands, Yorkshire & Humber & Wales.
The rain is expected to clear away northwards during the evening.
Although we are currently not affected, the persistent rain means there is likely to be lots of surface water on roads and paths.
Take care when driving and check your route before travelling.
